Okay, so first off I’m not a fan of transfer days. In the past
I’ve had some rough transfer days, one time it rained SUPER hard and lots of my
books got soaked, another time I lost my luggage and that was not fun
trying to track those down in korean. SO last week I was just waiting for
something to come up.... So everything was going good, got on the plane to head
out to JeJu, but sitting on the plane, but the plane doesn't leave. So they
come on the speaker thing and say 'there's some technical problems, probably be
delayed about 30 minutes" well turns out that 30 minutes turned into 2
HOURS! and I didn't have any wifi, so I couldn't communicate with the
missionaries waiting for me, so I just sat there, for 2 hours, haha. Ah
transfers are just the best... ๐
But here I am on Jeju, and it was pretty great! there's one
elder, Elder Lacay, and he has been on this island for more than a year now!!!
this is his 9th transfer being on this island, so we just call him the Jeju
King, haha.
Cleaning: something about many missionaries,
is they don't really know how to live or clean well. We got to our apartment, and it's
just not the cleanest. We have to wear sandals in the shower, and I think if I
wear those sandals I’m gonna get type 2 rabies or something. So I just got
permission that day to do some deep cleaning at the house, haha.
One fun thing about Jeju is that weather is whack! It's
crazy windy, and when you combine wind with a lot of rain... wonderful things
happen ๐ There was one point I literally saw the
rain going in 2 opposite directions in the same spot. Also had an umbrella that
was pretty much useless cause you point it in one direction, and the rain just
ends up coming from the other direction, haha.
This gospel is so wonderful, it's such a privilege that we
can know about all of this. We were talking with a recent convert here, and he
just expressed how he was so lucky to have found the truth! he just talked
about how peaceful it was to know about this, and it was just a sweet
experience to listen to him. So the gospel is just awesome, never take for
granted the truths you have!

How in the world is it 2020!? Time had gone by so fast! But 2019 was full of so many memories! It's crazy to look back and see all things that happened this past year, but 2020 will have a lot more in store!
Also it is sadly my last week here in CheomDan, I’ve been here for 4 Transfers now, so almost 6 months, and it was great. Brother H......... received the Holy Ghost and the Aaronic priestood yesterday at church, so that was great! I really love the members here in CheomDan, I don't cry much, but I shed a few tears of gratitude for being able to serve here and meet these people.
But like the saying goes, all good things come to an end right? (I don’t think so though)
So I’m being Transferred to ์ ์ฃผ๋ (JeJu Island)! They say that JeJu is like the Hawaii of Korea, so I mean doesn’t sound too bad! And I was once on KeoJe, Korea's 2 big Island, now I’m going to the biggest one, so I guess I’m meant to be an Island boy! ๐ So that'll be the next adventure of the mission! The excitement never ends!
One thing I have loved to have while being a missionary is being able to easily love people. I grew to love the people in this area so much, and that is mainly in thanks to the gift of charity. I believe missionaries are blessed with the gift of charity, varying in levels of course, but having some form of it. This gift is something every person should strive to develop in their lives, it has both temporal and eternal rewards.
I am so thankful to be able to serve as a missionary.
